Q1. How can I bookmark and quickly access my community?
Once you have found your community on IFIS, its name appears on the information panel on the right side of your browser. Click the image next to the name of your community. Then bookmark the address you see on your browser's address bar.
Q2. How do I access IFIS information during a power outage?
The Iowa Flood Center provides several alternative ways to access IFIS. During a power outage, you can use your smart phone to access the IFIS Mobile or IFIS iPhone app if you have an iPhone.
Q3. Will the IFC and DNR install more stream sensors across the state?
The Iowa Flood Center recently signed a new contract with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to deploy 50 more sensors across the state this year.
Q4. Are you going to install a stream sensor near my community?
We are currently considering suggestions for the 50 new sensor locations. Contact us using our feedback form, if you have site requests or suggestions.
